Kad´mee-uhl; Heb., “God is of old” or “God goes before”

The father of a Levite family (Ezra 2:40; Neh 7:43) who supervised reconstruction in the Jerusalem Temple in the late sixth century BCE (Ezra 3:9) and participated in various services there (Neh 9:4; Neh 9:5; Neh 10:9; Neh 12:8; Neh 12:24).
